Better service is provided to the individual rider by providing small vehicles frequently rather than long trains infrequently. We believe that, for far too long, public transit has focused solely on moving masses of people rather than providing service to the individual. However, it is possible to do both. As an example, a single vehicle with a capacity of 100 arriving/departing every three minutes equals a train with a capacity of 1000 arriving/departing every 30 minutes. But, if an individual arrives to board just when the train is leaving, he will have to wait 30 minutes for the next one. If he arrives just after a single vehicle has departed, he will only need to wait three minutes.
